June "Waypoint" SCUBA Course Weekend

June 9^th – 14^th 2025

NOTICE THIS SIGN UP IS FOR THOSE SIGINING UP WITH THE GEORGIA SKY DIVING GROUP - YOUR CONFINED WATER WILL NOT BE DONE AT VORTEX SPRINGS SO YOU WILL NOT JOIN WITH THE REST OF THE CLASS UNTIL JUNE 11TH.

Come Join us June 9^th – 14^th 2025, at Vortex Springs and Panama City Beach FL for a weekend filled with training, camaraderie, and fun. Helping 2 Overcome uses these weekends as a chance to help Military Members and their Families earn their initial SCUBA certification or to continue to grow their knowledge base through additional training and specialty certifications. Our experienced and well-trained staff and crew of NAUI Instructors and Dive Masters will be on hand to ensure that all students have a chance to learn, grow, and further their SCUBA skills.

What is Included?

GEAR PURCHASE - An EMAIL will be sent out to everyone that signs up with gear purchase options - we are building discounted gear packages for those in this class. 

WEEKEND SCHEDULE (SUBJECT TO CHANGE)

ALL CONFINED WATER WILL BE CONDUCTED BY YOUR INSTUCTOR MICHAEL TUNER ONSITE IN GEORGIA (HE WILL LET YOU KNOW YOUR LOCATION). ALL STUDENTS WILL JOIN IN WITH THE ONGOING CLASS ON JUNE 11TH TO COMPLETE THE OPEN WATER PORTIONS OF THIS COURSE. 

June 11^th (Wednesday)

• Open Water Students and H2O Instructor will meet at VORTEX SPRINGS in PONCE DE LEON FL in the morning to:
  • Complete Confined Water Skills
  • Begin Open Water Skills
• Advanced Open Water & Specialty Students and H2O Instructor will meet at VORTEX SPRINGS in PONCE DE LEON FL in the morning to:
  • Begin Individual Skills for Selected Course

June 12th (Thursday)

• Open Water Students and H2O Instructor will meet at VORTEX SPRINGS in PONCE DE LEON FL in the morning to:
  • Complete Open Water Skills
• Advanced Open Water & Specialty Students and H2O Instructor will meet at VORTEX SPRINGS in PONCE DE LEON FL in the morning to:
  • Complete Individual Skills for Selected Course

June 13th (Friday)

Students and H2O Instructors will meet in Panama City Beach FL for a 2 Tank Boat Dive (BOAT AND DIVE CENTER TO BE DETERMINED)

• Boat Dive - 2 Tank Boat Dive
  • Students will complete their SCUBA Certification
  • Gear Return
  • Finalize Paperwork
  • Debrief
• IMPORTANT NOTE: Speciality Students that do not require a boat dive are not assigned to this date, if you would like to join for the boat dive please besure to add that option at sign up! If you are required to do a boat dive for your speciality certification your instructor will inform you. 

• Family members that are already SCUBA certified are encouraged to sign up for the Boat Dive - Please sign up using the Calendar on H2O Webpage
  • H2O Covers 50% off cost for Military Members (past and present) and their families for all boat dives.

June 14th (Saturday)

Students and H2O Instructors will meet in Panama City Beach FL for a 2 Tank Boat Dive (BOAT AND DIVE CENTER TO BE DETERMINED)

• Boat Dive - 2 Tank Boat Dive
  • Students will complete their SCUBA Certification
  • Gear Return
  • Finalize Paperwork
  • Debrief
• IMPORTANT NOTE: This boat dive is not required for ANY students - this is completely optional as a way for students to get additional time under the water. 

• Family members that are already SCUBA certified are encouraged to sign up for the Boat Dive - Please sign up using the Calendar on H2O Webpage
