Director of Community Integration

Stephanie Steele serves as the Director of Community Integration at Vets Recover, where she leads efforts to foster connection, support, and holistic healing for veterans and their families. A licensed social worker and graduate of the University of South Alabama, Stephanie brings both professional expertise and personal insight to her work.

As the spouse of a disabled veteran and the mother of an Air Force Reserve member, Stephanie understands firsthand the challenges military families face and the vital role they play in the recovery journey. Her approach emphasizes the importance of including families in the healing process, creating supportive environments where both veterans and their loved ones can grow stronger together.

In addition to her clinical background, Stephanie is a certified Open Water Scuba Diver and is currently pursuing her Rescue Diver certification. Her involvement in outdoor and experiential activities reflects her commitment to innovative, engaging approaches that promote resilience, connection, and overall well-being within the veteran community.
